The World of Beatrix Potter
Well, it's just a hop, skip and a jump to the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, the only Beatrix Potter themed attraction in Europe, where you can visit Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-duck and many other delightful characters. Our attraction includes all 23 Tales by Beatrix Potter, brought to life in a magical indoor recreation of the Lakeland countryside, complete with sights, sounds and even smells. So you can meet Peter Rabbit in Mr. McGregor's garden, discover Jemima Puddle-duck in the woodland glade and visit Mrs. Tiggy-winkle in her kitchen. The Miss Potter Room explores the life of Beatrix Potter with a unique Virtual Walks display, short film presentation and innovative exhibits about Beatrix Potter and her pioneering life. You can also browse through the Beatrix Potter Shop with its comprehensive range of Peter Rabbit gifts. Perhaps you might also enjoy lunch or afternoon tea in the unique Tailor of Gloucester Tea Room or outdoors on the garden terrace, where you can enjoy The Enchanting World of Beatrix Potter sculpture, unveiled in the presence of Renée Zellweger.

Blackwell, The Arts & Crafts House
The focus in the period rooms at Blackwell is currently with cabinet-maker Arthur Simpson. New loans of furniture produced for another substantial Lake District holiday home are displayed alongside pieces from the Trust's own collection. In the first floor gallery rooms archive material, including original designs from the Trust's Simpson archive, will complement the period room displays and the popular Barn Close display has been reinstated, which is the last opportunity to see textiles, ceramics, silver, furniture and designs on loan from a private collection.

Windermere Steamboat Museum
The Museum is currently closed for restoration and renovation work. We are now able to offer limited access to visit the site and collection as part of a guided tour or by booking a group visit. Details of these opportunities can be found in the Project Tours section of our website.
